Time Out finds out if women’s safety initiatives offered by cab companies deliver on their promises
What seems to plague cab companies’ customers is the unavailability of cabs during peak hours, and trained personnel.
Franklin Joseph, CEO and Chief Instructor of BadAzz Krav-Maga Self-Defense Military Combat Academy, Bangalore, who offers women’s safety workshops, concurs. “These initiatives only provide a psychological security to women, it’s not real,” he said. “Women should not depend on technologies as they do not guarantee mental calmness. They have to be self-confident and only then things change. They have to be alert, assertive and strongly verbal at all times.”
